RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ONLINE THEFT REPORT

Once you access the procedure, you will be asked to provide various information and details in order to complete the report. To speed up the process, please take the following points into account:

  • Attach, whenever possible, images of the stolen property.
  • Attach, whenever possible, scanned copies of any documents proving ownership or possession of the stolen items.
  • Indicate whether you are aware of any security cameras or CCTV systems in the area. If so, and if known, indicate their location and/or the name or reference of the establishment or facility where they are installed.
  • If any stolen item has particular sentimental, historical, artistic or other significant value, please state this in the report.

Where applicable, you must have these files available on your device before starting the process. The system allows up to ten (10) documents to be attached. If you need to submit a larger number of files, you should group and combine them by subject matter, such as images of the stolen property, supporting documentation, and similar categories.

This is without prejudice to the possibility that an on-site technical and visual inspection may be required. Should this be necessary, you will be informed by the Guardia Civil.

In addition, please note that if you are carrying out this procedure as a representative, you must have a valid digital representative certificate ready, as it will be required during the procedure.
